It replaced the Land Transport Safety Authority, Dunedin Regional Office, and carried out the functions and responsibilities of Land Transport New Zealand in the Otago/Southland region [for further information on the establishment and functions of Land Transport New Zealand see agency documentation ADZP - Land Transport New Zealand, National Office]. It was headed by a Regional Manager.
