The open dates of the Individual Record file mostly were the date of first school attendance, because the information was included in the Individual Record or the Primary School Progress Card if it is included in the Individual Record Files. 

The Primary School Progress Cards were in the pocket in file which also may have contained samples of the pupil's work, letters, reports, etc.  There was a separate sequence of Primary School Progress Cards (Series 23272), which were not included in the Individual Record files or in the Record of Pupil's Progress files (Series 22646). 

Correspondence and reports related to their discharge from Campbell Park School, formerly Otekaike Special School for Boys, was in Series 22627 and Series 22638, both of which contained Closed Personal Records for individual pupils.

Some pupils may have had one, or all of, a Child Welfare Personal Case File (Series 22985 or Series 23804),  Record of Pupils' Progress (Series 22646) as well as an Individual Record File.
