            [additionalDescriptionItem] => Catalogue Synopsis:
"With Us All The Way": Alcohol is still widely used, as it has been for centuries. Typical approaches of a heavy, moderate and light drinker to drinking are examined, as are the comparative strengths of different drinks. The effects of drinking to excess are illustrated, from the immediate effects on behaviour to the long term effects of alcohol on the body.
"The Double Standard": In a society which both condemns and approves of alcohol, there is no such thing as a stereotyped alcoholic. Examples are given of the wide range of people with drinking problems. In general, more people are drinking more, as the availability of alcohol increases. With this trend grows the need for skilled help with alcoholics.
