A step by step account of the methods used in disaster victim identification.  This film follows the Police Disaster Victim Identification Team as they cope with the after effects of the Mt. Erebus air crash of 28 November 1979.  "Operation Overdue" familiarises emergency personnel with the problems that will confront them after a disaster and prepares them for the emotional trauma of working at a crash scene and handling victims.
