One file in this series [POHQ 40/917] was transferred to Archives New Zealand by Mr D.L. Vaughan, a former Post Office employee who was given the file during a culling process.

A small number of POHQ Series 909 records were transferred by the Dunedin Office of New Zealand Post Limited. These records are held at Archives New Zealand Dunedin Regional Office - refer to DAHR 909 Accession D566.
