Copies of pages from Turton's Deeds relating to land in the Wairarapa, which have been annotated with details of relevant land records. 

Description 
These records were housed in the Muniments Room of Land Information New Zealand's Head Office until January 2002. In c.1989 a survey was conducted of the key historical records held by the Head Office of DOSLI [Department of Survey and Land Information]. During this process records were listed, and allocated the Series number 201 which has been documented on the list in the record number field. 

Maori Deeds of Land Purchases in the North Island of New Zealand was compiled and published by H. H. Turton in 1878. It is commonly known as 'Turton's Deeds'. The volume in this series contains copies of Deeds from this publication relating to the Wairarapa region. 

An index at the front of the volume gives the following details:
