	These photographs were collected together at the Trentham Traffic Officers Training College. The photographs cover road safety, road transport, and the work and training of traffic officers. It is not known how they were used.

	

	The photographs have been arranged according to the subject groups found in Series 6761 Negative File. As this was done by an archivist, this arrangement may not necessarily reflect the original meaning of the photographs. Photographs which did not fit any of the subject groups have been placed in the Miscellaneous category. This is an artificial series.

	

	There are also a number of proofs in this series. Most of these have been placed in a separate category at the end, due to the difficulty in assigning a subject category to a proof containing many different images. Similarly, a separate category has been created for oversize photographs. Some of these were originally mounted and/or framed.

	

	Some photographs have numbers on the back, which refer to the negatives found in Series 6776 Numbered Negatives. Negatives for other photographs may also be found in Series 6777 Unidentified Negatives or Series 6761 Negative File, although this is not confirmed.
