	This series contains the diary of the day shift of the Hokio Beach School secure facility. Admittance to the secure facility was done with the approval of the controlling officer or his/her deputy. It was required by Social Work Manual Part J 124 1-14 that a diary be kept which showed the time and date the child entered the facility, the reason for detention and the time of release.

	

	Other information in the diary includes: activities undertaken while in the secure facility, comments about the client's behaviour and the client's attitude, date, time admitted, reason for admittance, and time discharged.
