The orders made by the Court could relate, for example, to appointing a welfare guardian or property manager, or to deciding where the person would live or who would look after them.
Under the PPPR Act, a person who was not incapacitated could give an "enduring power of attorney" to one or more other people to act on his or her behalf if he or she lost the capacity to make or communicate decisions about their affairs.
The series ended in 2003 when district and family court files began to be registered under the nationwide Case Management System (CMS).
