	These notebook from the Woodville sittings of the Wanganui District Court, recorded transcripts of evidence given during a case, the judge's summing up, judgements, and sentences. They are the judge's own personal record of the case, rather than the official court record.



	In 1909 the District Court of Wairarapa, along with all remaining District Courts, were abolished by proclamation. Most of their functions had already been taken over by the local Magistrates Court. See Palmerston North Magistrates/District Court - Agency Code AAXX and Woodville Magistrates Court AGWZ.
