	The records in this series were previously described in series 16288 (formerly Record Group series JC-LHW2082, JC-LHW2545,and JC-LHW2890), entitled 'Sample case files.'

	The series dates are based on the holdings dates.

	Under the current Courts disposal schedule, Miscellaneous application files are recommended for destruction once legal, financial and administrative requirements have been met. The holdings within this series are a random sample only, retained under previous schedules to illustrate the function of the Magistrate's/District Court. These records were transferred in the 1980's.
