	These indexes have been used to provide access to plans according to legal description.

	The entries are arranged by name of parish, settlement, town or district, or by original Maori appellation (block name) and each page lists the section numbers in sequence. Next to the section number is the Land Transfer plan number that relates to that section. The Land Transfer plan number (LT) is generally the same as the later Deposited Plan number (DP). Not every section has a plan listed.

	There is an index to parish, town, village and settlement pasted into the front of the volume.
