	This series covers the central Multiple Number Subject (MNS) records system used by the Head Office of Maritime New Zealand between 1993 and 1997. The classification system is the same as that used by the former Maritime Division of the Ministry of Transport's central filing system. The Maritime Division was incorporated into the new established Maritime Authority (later renamed Maritime New Zealand) in 1993. The MNS classification system was divided into two blocks, with sub-series: for the Head Office's corporate and three functional divisions:
