	The publications relating to Canterbury Irrigation Schemes are included with the Otago ones because MAF Policy, Dunedin took over the management and privatisation of Centerbury Irrigation Schemes from the 1990s. The Canterbury publications were acquired by MAF Policy, Dunedin as part of their work. It is unclear the degree to which these were created by the Water and Soil Division itself or where created as a reference collection of reports created by staff who managed and privatised the irrigation schemes.

	There are also files and reports relating to Canterbury schemes in Accessions D316, D317, D318, and D520.

	As well there is documentation from Head Office and Christchurch Works files and reports included in this series.
