The ephemera in Accession D569 are estray items, and were collected together by two Broadcasting Reunion Committees of Television New Zealand, Dunedin. The Reunions were in 1994 and 2002 and celebrated the history of broadcasting in Otago. Accession D569 includes offical photographs taken by Television New Zealand, Dunedin, and its predecessors, official photographs from the personal collections of individual staff as well as photographs taken by individual staff members, which were donated by staff for the Reunions.

The other material is ephemera such as newspaper clippings, visitors' books, etc. was created by both the Reunion Committee and Television New Zealand, Dunedin, and its predecessors. The collection was deposited at Archives New Zealand Dunedin Regional Office in 2002 by Peter Johnson, a former Broadcasting Corporation staff member and attendee at the Reunions, who had an interest in the history of broadcasting.

The photographs had no discernible original order and it was difficult to ascertain the provenance because not all photographs were consistenly captioned nor, was the owner (or photographer) always named. Many of the photographs were in various packages where the contents had been mixed up and used for various displays and publications and because of the uncertaintities regarding provenance and orginal order, the photographs and negatives were grouped by subject. However, where the name of the owner could be ascertained, it was noted on the back of the photograph. The ephemera also had no discernible provenance.

This collection was transferred in 2008 and 2002 is taken to be the ending date of the relationship with Television New Zealand Dunedin.
