The volume in this series contains separate lists of prisoners for trial and prisoners for sentence at the Palmerston North High Court. Each double page contains a list of prisoners tried or sentenced on a single day. Each entry is numbered, beginning again at one for each separate hearing. Indexes to these lists can be found in Series 21243.
The pages are ruled into columns, headed as follows:
No., name of prisoner, crime, by whom committed, place of committal and date, date of receipt of depositions, if on bail, date when copy depositions sent to (eg Crown Solicitor), number of folios, remarks.
These registers also provide access to the individual trial and sentencing files in Series 21242 and 21249.
This series was superseded with the introduction of the Case Management System (CMS) thoroughout New Zealand's Courts in 2003.
