Only cases of significance will be archived, as determined by Court officials. The holdings within this series are a random sample only, retained to illustrate the function of the criminal division of the District Court. Under the 'schedule' in operation at the time a random sample of fat and thin files was required to be kept. In some cases Court or National Archives staff selected particular files of interest.
