This series comprises the minute book and report on proceedings of the Manawatu Land Drainage Commission.  The Commission wrote a report on the desirability of amalgamating four Manawatu drainage districts.  It was also asked to make recommendations on a comprehensive drainage scheme for the area.  The scheme sought to solve problems which had arisen over the drainage of land along the Manawatu, Kairanga and Oroua rivers.  The Commissioners were A.D. Thomson, W.S. Short, G.F. Robinson and V.R. Vickerman.
