This series comprises registers, a schedule, a record book and an index of pastoral property, as well as a record book of occupation licenses.
The original paper list for this series included descriptive information relating to some items.  This has been captured below:
Item one, a record book of pastoral licenses, is arranged by province and contains the license number, licensee details, date, term of the lease, rental, remarks and annual payments made.
Items two and three, registers of pastoral runs, are arranged by province and list the registered number of each run, along with its name, class, locality, acreage, date, term of lease, rent, lessee, plan number and remarks.  Item two covers the North Island, Nelson and Marlborough, while item three covers Canterbury, Otago, Westland and Southland.
Item four, a schedule of Otago runs, gives the areas proposed for subdivision by the Land Board. It lists the registered number of the run, acreage, an assessment by the government and Land Board of the original run and subdivisions.
Item five, and index to pastoral runs, is arranged by province.  It gives the number of the license and file reference.
Item six, a record book of occupation licenses is arranged by province.  It gives the date and term of license, rental and date when paid.
