	They may include matters relating to companies winding up, aged and infirm persons, matrimonial property applications, changes of name by deed poll, criminal and civil appeals, domestic appeals, applications by solicitors for admission to the bar, as well as a variety of other matters.

	This second series was begun when the system of registration of files changed from a single running number to an annual running number in the Hamilton miscellaneous registers (series 4156), which register the file numbers and provide an index to the files.
