The reports of Christchurch Hospital patients and "Outside" patients (where specimens have been taken at other hospitals or  by General Practitioners) are collated into separate Hospital Report books and Outside Report books. The Hospital Reports are filed by patient name and the Outside Reports by the name of either a doctor or another hospital.
The entries are generally very brief, but may detail notes on the patient's symptoms as well as specimen test results.
