Visited Peria, found Reweti Waikato and loyal Ngatihaua (Raihi's people) who planned to assemble at Peria to resist attacks by Ngatiraukawa on local Europeans. Tiriori and his people to remain at Maungatautari to warn Government of hostile movements by Ngatiraukawa or Ngatimaniapoto. Records also report from Mr Mainwaring from his visit to Te Kopua on the Waipa that a large meeting was planned at Tokangamutu to tangi for Tamihana. Takerei te Rau reports that Rewi proposed driving cattle to Alexandra to sell, and Matutana objected.
