(1) All photographs and transparencies (with the exception of (2), see below) are restricted for seventy years from the date of the images. All Transport Accident Investigation Commission staff, upon presentation of a signed authorisation from the Chief Commissioner or Chief Inspector of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission, or a current signed warrant, are to have access to the photographs and transparencies.
Under no circumstances will access to photographs/transparencies within the 70 year restricted period be granted without the written authority of the Chief Commissioner or Chief Inspector of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission.
(2) Undated transparencies - ABVX 7334 W5041/33f-33u
All transparencies are restricted until 2052. All Transport Accident Investigation Commission staff, upon presentation of a signed authorisation from the Chief Commissioner or Chief Inspector of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission, or a current signed warrant, are to have access to the transparencies.
Under no circumstances will access to transparencies within the restricted period be granted without the written authority of the Chief Commissioner or Chief Inspector of the Transport Accident Investigation Commission.
Some records are protected under section 49(1)(a) of the Public Records Act 2005.
Photographs require that gloves are worn when viewing.
