No restrictions except:
W3098: The following access provisions have been agreed to for Lands and Survey records: (a) All parts of all case files are closed to public access for 40 years from the date of last action to protect personal subject matter. (b) All general or policy files are open to public access subject to any non-government researcher signing an undertaking not to disclose or use any information of a personal nature that: (i) is less than 40 years old or (ii) refers to case files which are still restricted. (c) The restrictions on public access do not apply to authorised government staff, i.e. currently, from Lands and Survey and the Rural Bank. [Note: The researcher declaration form can be obtained by Archives New Zealand staff using Objective ID A60654, migrated to Cohesion.]
W3054, W3109 and W3110: AA106 applied retrospectively. For reasons of personal privacy, all land tenure case files transferred by Landcorp Investments Ltd, or its agents, are restricted for 40 years from the date of file closure.
W5683: AA342 applies. Honorary Ranger files are restricted for 40 years from the date of file closure to protect the personal privacy of those nominated for the role. In addition, nominated files that relate to the protection of species are restricted for 70 years from the date of file closure to prevent disclosure of sensitive preservation information.
