[0] => In 1997, a retention and disposal schedule for the Head Office of Maritime New Zealand (MNZ) was approved (SRG 97/47). Retention schedules for the District Offices and for the National Oil Spill Coordination Centre (NOSCC) were approved in 1999 (SRG99/11 and SRG99/13). The Head Office schedule was revised in 1999 and in 2000 (SR2000/110). This retention and disposal schedule supercedes these schedules in order to: - incorporate the records of new functions - consolidate the existing three schedules into one schedule - remove classes of records now covered by the three published GDAs and the draft Corporate/Administrative GDA. Retention and disposal recommendations are substantially the same as those made in the three existing schedules but include a recommendation to appraise some records at the end of their retention period, as their content and therefore their value is not predictable. In December 2012 Maritime Head Office requested an amendment to DA203 to update and add a class of records. These are: Update to class: 24.1. Class title: Ship registers - All registers and other records that document any activities concerned with the registration and administration of NZ ships.
