The hall site (in Southland) was originally administered by the Department of Lands & Survey as reserved Crown Land.  The hall was demolished in 1980 and the land subsequently sold.  The Department of Conservation  inherited archives of the Gorge Road Coronation Hall Committee along with relevant L&S files, on the demise of L&S in 1987.

Agency name - varies over time, further research required.  In 1914 seem to be referring to themselves as the Gorge Road Coronation Hall Committee, this is sometimes shortened to the Gorge Road Hall Committee.  From May 1936 - June 1950 seem to have been referred to as the Gorge Road Hall Trustees.  From September 1950 - September 1962 back to calling themselves Gorge Road (Coronation) Hall Committee.  From September 1962 to October 1977 they are known as the Gorge Road  Hall Board (of Directors).
