[history] => It is unknown when this office was established. In 1939 the Rotorua Office consisted of an Inspector of Stock and a Fields Instructor. By 1972 the MAF divisions represented here included the Animal Health Advisory Services and Dairy Divisions, Horohoro Experimental Farm and a Fisheries Laboratory.
Due to the 1972 merger of the Department of Agriculture with the fisheries functions of the Marine Department, this office became the Ministry of Agriculture and Fisheries MAF, Rotorua Office.
