	From 2010, the Dunedin Branch of the New Zealand Society of Genealogists listed individual applications up to 1900 by name for access on Archway. Applications after 1900 are accessible through the Application and Mining Privilege Registers created by each Warden's Court. Applications were grouped together, rather than being separated out by type (tail races, water races, residence sites, etc.).

	These application files contained the documentation relating to persons applying for mining privileges in the Arrowtown Warden's Court. Applications had to be filed on forms prescribed in regulations issued under Gold Fields Acts and Mining Act 1877 and its successors. The following is a list of application types:

	The application files could contain some or all of the following items:

		Summons for Witness to appear
	

		Copy of Issued Licence
	

		Reports by Government Departments


	Once an application was lodged it was entered into the Register of Applications and then heard by the Warden. If the application was successful then a licence was issued. A number of the files also have copies of the registered licence attached to them.
