There are a range of numbers on the mining claim plans:
blue/green numbers link to claim plan register BACL 14346/1b; black numbers link to claim plan register BACL 14346/1a. (these are Thames District plans).
The red numbers relate to Coromandel District plans.
The light blue numbers on the plans are survey office numbers.
The plans also contain references to application numbers. Those with a 'C' relate to Coromandel applications. Those with a 'K' relate to Kauotuna applications found in the Coromandel Wardens Court. There are also Thames application numbers.
The plans for roads etc. related to mining claims (W6228) are arranged by record number 41/1 to 41/37; one plan has no record number. These plans also have a range of numbers, which may link to the claim plan register, the Coromandel District plans or the survey office. The majority of these plans concern more than one mining claim or block in the Thames Gold Fields area and most relate to the development of roads connecting claims.
